ACH U.S Banks - Overview
ACH Direct Debit Payments
2Account customers in the United States can accept ACH Direct Debit payments from their customers with a US bank account using the Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments system using specific Donate2, Stream2, and Flex2 forms.
ACH Direct Debit is a reusable, delayed notification payment method. This means that it can take up to 4 business days to receive acknowledgement of their success or failure. Because ACH Direct Debit isn’t a guaranteed payment method, there is a risk of failed payments and disputes. This means that ACH may not be the best option for items such as instant access to Streaming Video or immediate Membership enrollment.
Reusable
You can reuse ACH payment methods for additional payments without authorizing and collecting payment details again. This makes ACH a good choice for recurring donations.
Payment methods with delayed notification can’t guarantee payment during the delay. The status of the Payment will be in a "Processing" mode until the payment status is either successful or failed. We hold back orders that are in a pending state during this time. The orders are not fulfilled until the payment is successful. Again, this means that ACH may not be the best option for items such as instant access to Streaming Video or immediate Membership enrollment.
