Chariot DAFpay

On the Donate2 Enhanced Donation Form, look for the Chariot DAFpay Collapsible.  Open it up to see the options.


General Settings

Enable DAFpay?: Use this dropdown to turn the Chariot DAFpay integration on or off for this form. Set to "Enabled" to allow patrons to use their Donor Advised Funds during checkout.


Tessitura Setup

This section maps your DAFpay transactions to the correct accounting and tracking categories within your Tessitura CRM.

Optional Tessitura Settings

The Tessitura settings in the Chariot DAFpay collapsible are optional and will override the Tessitira settings for the form. These settings ONLY apply if DAFpay is used for a transaction. The fields will default to "None". If you

Payment Type: Determines how the DAFpay transaction is initially recorded. Select Fund to designate the contribution directly to a specific fund, or On Account to apply the funds as an on-account balance for the patron.

DAFpay Fund: Select the designated Tessitura fund where contributions made via DAFpay will be allocated.

DAFpay Source: Choose the specific source code to track the origin of the DAFpay donation for your campaigns (e.g., mapping it to a "Lobby QR Code" or a specific web appeal).

DAFpay Channel: Select the Tessitura channel you wish to associate with DAFpay transactions for revenue reporting and analytics.


DAFpay Setup

This section configures the frontend behavior and payment processing rules for the DAFpay widget.

Payment Setup: Select your payment processor configuration. This tells the system how to handle the overall transaction flow (e.g., using "Stripe + DAFpay" for hybrid checkout experiences).

Theme: Customize the visual appearance of the DAFpay popup or widget presented to users. Select a style (like "Gradient") that best matches your organization's branding.


Messages

This section defines the automated email communications sent to the patron at various stages of the Donor Advised Fund grant lifecycle.

Initial Email: Select the email template sent to the patron immediately after they submit their DAFpay request. This should confirm their submission and explain that the grant is currently being processed by their fund sponsor.

Failure Email: Choose the email template sent if the patron's DAFpay grant request is denied by their sponsor or fails to process.

Success Email: Select the email template sent to notify the patron once the grant has been successfully approved and the funds have been secured.
