Stripe - “Know Your Customer” obligations

“Know Your Customer” (KYC) obligations for payments require Stripe to collect and maintain information on all Stripe account holders. These requirements come from our regulators and are intended to prevent abuse of the financial system.

When logging into Stripe, you may or may not see messages warning you about Payouts being Paused or Payments being Disabled.

It is critical that you take this seriously and update the required information.

SSN Update

Navigation: Settings >> Business >> Business details

Look for Management and ownership section of the page

Click the Edit Icon in the upper right

Enter the SSN

Click Submit
