Postal Address Requirement

Located in your Tessitura Live Configuration Collapsible near the Default Address, you will find the option to set the requirements for Postal Address when creating new constituent records.

If you set this 2Account feature to “Not Required” you must have your Tessitura Default Settings (T_DEFAULTS) FIELD NAME “REQUIRE ADDRESS” set to “No” in the DEFAULT VALUE field.

A “Yes” for this DEFAULT VALUE will require that every newly added Constituent must have a primary Address. The DEFAULT VALUE is "Yes” (Address Required)


A “No” for this DEFAULT VALUE does not require that every newly added Constituent  have a primary Address. (Address Not Required)


DO NOT enable this if you have not changed the default value. If you do you will receive error messages like the one shown here.

When and how does this apply?


This applies to new constituent account creation


Address Not Required

  • Full Address Collected - we will apply a valid active primary address, Address CSI is generated showing full address collected
  • Partial Address Collected - we will not apply an address, Address CSI is generated showing partial address collected
  • No Address Collected - we will not apply an address, No Address CSI is generated since there is nothing to communicate

Address Required

  • Full Address Collected - we will apply a valid active primary address, Address CSI is generated showing full address collected
  • Partial Address Collected - we will apply an address the best we can and fill in the blanks with the defaults, Address CSI is generated showing partial address collected
  • No Address Collected - we will apply our 2Account Default Address, No Address CSI is generated since there is nothing to communicate
