Cannot create constituent because the rule for Require Phone is turned on

Cannot create constituent because the rule for Require Phone is turned on, which requires a constituent to have at least one non-control grouped phone number.

To provide a solution to this uncommon situation, we have added the ability to provide a Phone Number and assign it to a selected Phone Type at the time of registering a new constituent account for situations where you are not collecting a phone number on the form.

1. Check the box to enable this feature if you have received the "Cannot create constituent because the rule for Require Phone is turned on, which requires a constituent to have at least one non-control grouped phone number." message.

   
   

2. Enter a Default Phone Number. You can enter a single digit or a complete phone number, that is up to you and how your organizations can identify a bogus phone number. We are providing a phone number or single digit just to satisfy the "Required Phone" setting.

   
   
3. Select the Default Phone Type where the number will be assigned.
