Tessitura Source Not Showing Up In The Editor

For some Tessitura organizations, we receive over 120K Source entries. That is a lot of data to present in a drop down menu and a lot of data to search through in Tessitura every time. To solve this, we have implemented a cache and search functionality.


If you're searching for the source using the technique listed below and you can't find the source. There are several possibe reasons.


  1. The source is not setup correctly

    If that is the case, the source cannot be viewed in order to retrieve it. Please review the setup of the source and ensure that it aligns with settings similar to a known valid and working source.


  2. The source was just made and the Tessitura LIVE Cache needs to be refreshed

    We have implemented a data cache for Tessitura information, such as Sources. This cache is naturally refreshed as you use the application. However, in some cases, where a source has been created within the last few hours or if your account has not been used for a while, it will be necessary to manually refresh the cache.


    In order to refresh the cache, it is necessary to have Admin user level access. Builders do not have the permission to refresh the cache.

    Proceed to the Tessitura Menu in your 2Account, select Tessitura LIVE, and click on the Refresh Cache button.


  3. Activate the Search

    Please enter at least 3 characters of the Source Name or Source ID Number to activate the fuzzy search.


    You need to enter 3 or more characters of the name of the source or the source number to activate your Source or Channel Search. Within moments, the results will be returned and displayed in a list for selection. This fuzzy search will provide a range of results.
